Luba H. Lynch Luba H. Lynch, M. Ed., became the Executive Director of the Foundation in 1983. Ms. Lynch is a founding member of the Early Childhood Funders Collaborative, a collaborative of national and regional foundations committed to promoting quality early care and education. She is a founding member and former Chair of Grantmakers for Children Youth and Families. Ms. Lynch is a Board Member and former Co-Chair of the Institute for Community Peace, formerly the National Funding Collaborative on Violence Prevention, a partnership among public and private funders, experts in violence prevention and community collaboratives. She served on the Committee on Family Foundations for the Council on Foundations. She is a former Board Member and Vice-President of the New York Regional Association of Grantmakers and served on the Board of the Viola W. Bernard Foundation. In the spring of 2004 Ms. Lynch received the inaugural presentation of the Fred Rogers Leadership Award in Philanthropy for Children, Youth and Families. Prior to her present position, Ms. Lynch was a Program Officer at The Field Foundation. She also worked as a research assistant with Hon. Justine Wise Polier, a retired New York State Family Court Judge and author on juvenile justice and child welfare issues, and with the Juvenile Justice Division of The Children's Defense Fund. Ms. Lynch holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto and a MS. Ed. from Bank Street College of Education.
